What is a dispute?
If you believe that information on your Innovis Credit Report is incomplete or inaccurate, you may initiate a Dispute. You
can request an investigation
online,
by phone, or by mail. You will need to provide personal information (e.g., name, address, date of birth, and Social Security Number),
a clear description of your dispute, and a list of items you are disputing. You can send any supporting documentation to Innovis along with your dispute request.
What happens when I submit a dispute?
When you submit a dispute, Innovis initiates an investigation on your behalf and free of charge. We will submit your investigation request, if necessary, to the source that
reported that information. We will include with the investigation all relevant information and supporting documentation that you provide to us. We will send you the results of our investigation
once it is completed.
How long does the dispute process take?
Most investigations are completed within 30 days of the date they are received. Notification that the investigation is complete will be provided online or by mail. If you submitted the
investigation request online, you will receive the investigation results online immediately after the investigation is complete. If you submitted the investigation request by mail, you will
receive investigation results in the mail 7-10 business days after the investigation is complete.
What happens if I disagree with the outcome of the investigation?
If the results of the investigation do not resolve your dispute, you may add a brief statement containing up to 100 words to your Innovis Credit Report. Once added, your statement will be
included on all future reports. You can mail Innovis the statement you wish to add to your report.
What do I do if information on my report is mixed with another consumer?
If you believe information on your Innovis Credit Report is possibly mixed with another consumer’s
information, you may initiate a dispute online, by phone, or by mail.
